Being Divided Is exhausting

“Are you going to say anything about what happened at the Capitol?”

Here it is y’all…I’m tired. I’m tired of seeing such horrible things happening. A gallows built outside the nations’ capital. A reenactment of George Floyd’s death. I’m tired of scrolling through Instagram and seeing such a HUGE divide between everyone I love. Not being able to believe anything that I read or hear.

“We live in a world where nothing adds up or makes sense.”

I’m tired. I’m scared. I’m overwhelmed. I’m heartbroken. I’m confused. I’m becoming numb because it’s all too much. We live in a world where nothing adds up or makes sense. Something is very wrong and the feeling of insecurity that I feel in knowing that my hands can’t change the world hurts.

So I’ll change us. I’ll keep building us. We’ll keep growing here. We’ll keep learning here. We’ll keep loving here. My voice can only do so much outside of my home and while I’m sure going to use it, my efforts will in majority be given to them, to us.

If you’re feeling confused, I see you. If you’re feeling angry, I see you. If you’re feeling broken, I see you. Defeated, I see you. Numb, I see you. Tired of wondering if things are going to ever be normal, I see you. Outraged, heartbroken, divided from your loved ones, I see you and I love you.
